Contact the Council of Magisters

The Council of Magisters is named after a fictional organization described in The Diamond Throne.

The Council members are first and foremost the primary advocates of Arcana Evolved and the Diamond Throne setting. In this capacity, they produce a lot of things -- new material, articles, adventure ideas, and so forth. They also review and showcase other fan-generated content for Arcana Evolved.

Another goal of the Council of Magisters is player education. One of the Council's upcoming initiatives is to create a PDF demo kit for people to use to run demo games at stores, conventions, and elsewhere.

If you have fan material or a site you'd like to see on our list of links, feel free to Contact the council for more information. Note that all rules discussion should be handled through the Arcana Evolved message board.

The Council of Magisters is:
  • Shana Bertram. Shana is "SlappinJoe" on the boards. He's been playing D&D since 1982 and games in general since he could sit up. He's a veteran of dozens of campaigns as a player and DM and still learns something every session. He's playtested, written reviews, and DM'ed Ravenloft four different times, each with no survivors.
  • Tom Lommel. Tom is "Thrommel" on the boards, and is a moderator. He was the creator of the April Fool's "monetcook.com" site. He's also a playtester and a GenCon regular who ran the Alba Ker Dungeon Duel series for 10 years. Tom's been playing since 1984.
  • Søren Keis Thustrup. Siobharek on the boards, Søren started off on the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil forum on the boards, but moved on to Arcana Unearthed soon after it premiered (which coincided with his party sending Imix back where he belonged). Søren, who's from Denmark, rolled his first d20 in 1984 and hasn't really stopped since.
  • Bill Collins. (retired) Known as "Varianor" on Monte Cook's message boards, Bill has helped greatly by archiving old threads and making sure that they weren't deleted. Bill's been playing D&D since 1981.
  • Del Shand. (inactive) Del has done extensive playtesting for Malhavoc Press, dating back to the Book of Eldritch Might II. Del is known on the messageboards as "Black Moria." Del's been playing since 1975.
